David Montero Sánchez is an Associate Professor of Communication and Information Theory at the University of Seville. He holds a PhD from the University of Bath (United Kingdom) and is a member of the Interdisciplinary Research Group on Communication, Politics and Social Change (COMPOLITICAS, https://compoliticas.org/), where he coordinates the research line on Visual Studies and Image Criticism. He is the author of the monograph Thinking Images: The Essay Film as a Dialogic Form in European Cinema (Peter Lang, 2012), and has published several articles on visual culture, the essay film, political audiovisual media, and participatory cinema in international journals.
