Editor-in-Chief of Takriv. She is a sociologist of culture and a former researcher at the Center for Conflict Negotiation and Recovery (CCNR), and the Center for Media Data and  Society (CMDS), at the Central European University, Vienna and Budapest (CEU). Her doctoral dissertation at the European University Institute in Florence (EUI) dealt with political revenge and state retaliation in ethno-national conflicts. She participated in research on cultural and visual representations of Urban Destruction and loss (Gerda Henkel Foundation). Roni completed a sabbatical year in the film and writing departments at Minshar School of Art. She writes for Haaretz newspaper the blog "Docomania" on documentary cinema.
